Built in 1956 this Bentley S1 was a Rolls-Royce test car and was fitted from new with power steering, high compression cylinder head and high ratio rear axle. Modified by coach builders Harold Radford for long distance driving the car is fitted with special front seats, a table that is in the boot, drinks box and mixer bottles in driver’s door, wash hand basin and coffee pot in passenger door, washing essentials in rear door. The car has a Webasto sunroof and glasses compartments on the sun visors. RR were testing this car for twelve years up to 1968. In the 1980’s the car was in a museum in Norway returning to the UK in 1988 where it has had only two owners since. Supplied with a large history file, a V5C registration document and old registration documents including the ‘Buff@ log book.
